Obituary

Maurice E. Berg, III, 72, of Buena Vista Twp, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 with loved ones by his side after several months of declining health. He went on to join his late beloved wife of 53 years, Virginia Susan (nee: Eddy).

Marty was born in Camden NJ, the oldest of eight siblings to the late Maurice and Phyllis Berg. He spent most of his years in construction, initially an apprentice home painter under the direction of his beloved grandfather and uncles. He went on to become a master carpenter building many custom homes in southern New Jersey. After retirement he worked in maintenance for Walmart in Hammonton, NJ.

Since his teenage years, Marty was an avid bowler playing in many leagues throughout the area but perhaps most of all he was a true outdoorsman who spent many seasons fishing and hunting with his best friend Steven Haas.
Marty is predeceased by his youngest daughter Diane Berg-Pagan, his brother Kenneth and sisters Sandra, Susan and Pamela. He is survived by his daughters; Margaret (Jon) Jaques and Kathryn (Vincent) Berg of Buena, NJ. He is a proud grandparent of; Ashley (Bryan) McHenry, Katherine Jaques, Gabriella Pagan, Jonathan Pagan Jr. and David; and a great-grandfather of twins Autumn and Zoe Newcomb. He will be sadly missed by sisters Virginia and Bonnie Berg, and Wendy (Harley) Ferrel. He will be dearly missed by his uncle Donald Sutton along with a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Interment and memorial service will be private at the convenience of the family.
