Obituary

Doris C. Gamble, 82, of Galloway, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bronx, NY Doris was the loving daughter of the late Kenneth and Harriet Cerussi Kunz. She was the devoted wife of William John Gamble who passed away on April 1, 1990.

Doris was a graduate of Thorp Secretarial High school in Manhattan, NY class of 1957. She lived in New York City for 26 years before moving to Atlantic City, NJ in 1965. Doris worked as a secretary for many years in the banking industry and as an office worker for Spencer Gifts. In 1990 she went to work at the Tropicana and Taj Mahal Casino as a cage cashier for over 24 years.

Doris ran a polio support group in Mays Landing, NJ and was Tenet President of the Royal Suites Nursing Home and was active in their Adopt-a-Resident program. She was well known at Royal Suits for representing the elder community's wants and needs. Doris enjoyed going to the casinos for their entertainment shows and live concerts. She especially enjoyed going to Radio City Music Hall for their musical events. Her family will remember her as a religious, outgoing, family oriented and devoted mom.

Doris will be missed and fondly remembered by her children; Michael Molivetti, Barbara Molivetti, Stephen (Jhonalyn) Gamble, and grandson; Mathew Molivetti plus her extended family, Joann Mercado, Jennifer Quintana, Cindy Quintana. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother; David Kunz, sister; Lorretta Kunz and close friend May Mercado.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Doris's Life Celebration Funeral Service on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 7:00pm at Jeffries and Keates Funeral Home, 228 Infield Ave., Northfield, NJ 08225. A viewing will be held at Jeffries and Keates from 5:00pm until time of service. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org.
